Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe' A New 1,435/1,520 mm Gauuge Interface

The ..Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe" International Railway Business Forum was held in Wien between 20 and 22 February 2018, organised by Business Dialogue jointly with OBB-Holding and RZD. One of the main items on the agenda addressed was the need to increase the capacity of East to West corridors connecting the 1,520 mm and 1,435 mm gauge networks and the increasing interoperability of these routes. Means of reducing the cost of railfreight transport between East and West, and the simplification of international border formalities for freight consignments were also discussed.
