PKP Cargo International's Vectrons Approved In Croatia

On 26 March 2019 AWT and Uni-Credit Leasing CZ placed an order for three Vectron MSes, the contract arranged so that UniCredit Leasing CZ would provide operating leasing to AWT (see R 2/19, p. 63). Delivery of the machines, 383.053 to 055, took place on 1 July 2019 (see R 3/19, p. 17). Their principal initial duty is the haulage of AWT's regular intermodal service linking Paskov and Koper. However at that time, approval for operation' of the locomotives in Slovenia and Croatia was still awaited, so they were used only as far as the borders with Hungary and either Slovenia or Croatia, according to the route selected. In August the locomotives were granted approval for use in Slovenia, and to enable this ENNA Transport provided a pilot locomotive for the transit of Croatia.
