Desiro ML Cityjet Eco Put In Service...: While Siemens Close To First Mireo BEMU Order

On 2 September 2019 the three-car Desiro ML cityjet eco battery EMU (BEMU) 4746 049 was put in passenger service. This train, developed jointly by Siemens and OBB, was selected from the batch of Desiro ML EMUs currently being built for OBB, and was exhibited at InnoTrans 2018 (see R5/18, p. 44), following which testing without passengers started.
