On 20 March 2019, as part of the 2018 to 2026 mid-life refurbishment programme for the stock, Eurotunnel and Bombardier Transportation signed a 150 million EUR contract for the refurbishment of the nine „RAX" (passenger) Shuttles. This strategic investment, the most important one in 25 years, allows Eurotunnel to maintain the highest level of quality service and to affirm trust in its long-term perspectives. The contract was signed by Frangois Gauthey (on the left), Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Getlink Group (the new name for Eurotunnel), and Laurent Bouyer, President of Bombardier Transportation France.
