Paddington handover edges Crossrail's opening closer

THE handover to Transport for London in early August of the new Elizabeth Line station at Paddington lifts the total to six -just over the halfway mark. Whitechapel will be the next station to be commissioned later this summer, following on from Custom House, Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road, Woolwich and Liverpool Street. That leaves two to be completed.
