A fly-tipper committed a serious error when he dumped a large quantity of waste alongside the track at Burnley earlier this year - his home address was discovered on paperwork found among the piles of rubbish. The man, who has not been named, has been ordered by Burnley Magistrates to pay £3,000 in fines and costs for depositing rubbish (and an invoice for building materials) from an improvement project. He pleaded guilty.
