Schreyer is new Go-Ahead CEO

Go-Ahead Group is widening its European outlook by appointing Transdev's Christian Schreyer as its new Chief Executive. Schreyer, who has been Transdev's North and Central Europe CEO since 2014, takes over at Go-Ahead when David Brown retires on November 1. Schreyer spent 15 years with Deutsche Bahn and played an active role in mergers and acquisitions. The group has also announced two appointments to its senior management team, effective from October. Southeastern MD David Statham has been appointed Group Strategy Director while Steve White, deputy CEO of Govia Thameslink Railway, will replace him at Southeastern. Statham has led Southeastern since 2014, but now switches roles at what Go-Ahead describes as a "pivotal time" for the rail industry as it rebuilds passenger numbers following the pandemic. White has more than two decades of management experience at a range of rail companies including London Underground, Silverlink Trains, Eurostar and Siemens.
