King's Cross heads Christmas engineering upgrades

NETWORK Rail completed a major programme of engineering works between Christmas and New Year 2020, with projects taking place across England, Wales and Scotland. The most demanding works took place at King's Cross where the £1.2 billion East Coast Upgrade continued. It involved reconstruction of the Camden Sewer, which runs underneath tracks near the station, allowing the removal of a speed restriction on the station approaches.
