December 2020: Crossrail revises approximate opening date

A six-month window around December 2020 has been identified for when the full Crossrail route could finally open. It was confirmed on April 25 that the cross-London route would not open this year, and could be at least two years late. Originally trains were due to be running under central London between Abbey Wood and Paddington from last December, and from Shenfield to Paddington starting this month.
