Mayor's £15bn plan for West Midlands rail

WEST Midlands Mayor Andy Street has unveiled a £15 billion, 20-year plan to expand rail and metro services in the region. Street, who is running for re-election in May, wants to open 21 new railway stations across the West Midlands by 2040. These include the already planned new stations on a reopened Camp Hill line and on the Walsall- Wolverhampton route that is currently freight-only.
