OHLE goes live to Maidenhead

OHLE on the 12 mile section of the Great Western Main Line between Stockley Junction and Maidenhead was energised at 05.00 on March 26. Undertaken by Network Rail as part of its Crossrail surface works programme, this will enable Great Western Railway electric services from London Paddington to be extended to Maidenhead with the forthcoming May timetable change, 'and to Didcot in January 2018', according to NR.
