Thameslink timetable threatens MML services

With the full Thameslink service on the Midland Main Line scheduled to come into effect in May 2018, the provisional timetable released in December last year revealed major implications for long-distance services on the route. After the Thameslink Programme is completed in January 2018, the service frequency through the central core is due to be increased in two phases, with 20 trains/h in May 2018 followed by the full service of 24 trains/h with the December 2018 timetable change.
