Under a refurbishment programme which began on February 6, TransPennine Express is spending £1.4m to improve passenger facilities at Hull Paragon station. New toilets are to be installed on the site of a former cafe and a new glass-fronted waiting room is to be built, extending out from the front of the Grade Ⅱ-listed station building. Both facilities are due to be completed this spring, when improvements are to be made to the ticket office. Screens are to be removed, improving accessibility, and four new retail units are to be built.
