The paper showed that in waveguide-slot and microstrip linear equidistant antenna arrays with two-channel excitation the direction of the main maximum of the directional patterns coincides with the direction of the normal to the plane of an array and remains in the band of frequencies. The paper also considered relationships between the width of the main lobe of directional pattern, the level of side lobes, and the directive gain of such antennas and frequency detuning as well as the relationship between full frequency band and antenna electrical dimensions. The paper proposed a simple analytical expression for determination of the frequency band of such antennas.
