The pass rate for the latest NRAE was even higher than usual; there were 235 candidates and 198 of them were successful - a pass rate of 84.3%. With all centres returning their question and answer papers in time, this is a true picture. However, Instructors should take note of some the points raised in the NRAE report. Confusion was caused by questions about the following: the place for the decimal point in resistor values; the type of filter needed to minimise interference from an HF transmitter; and the use of a general coverage receiver to check for the presence of har-monic radiation.
