Having devoted much attention in re-cent EMC Columns to important topics such as PLT and 433MHz radio keys, quite a lot of other EMC matters havebeenbuild-ingup 'inthepipeline' sothismonth's EMC is larger than usual. There is continuing pressure to develop various wired data communications systems using unscreened cables which would leak signals in the MF/HF radio spectrum. There have even been suggestions that the whole LF/MF/HF spectrum below 30MHz should be abandoned for radio use and allocated as 'free radiation frequencies' to permit unlimited leakage from high speed data communication systems.
