Following repre-sentations by the RSGB, success has been achieved in two notable areas. City & Guilds (C&G) looks set to agree to three major changes concerning the RAE, following talks with the RSGB. C&G - the current administrator of the RAE -will, for the first time, release past RAE papers from September 1999, provided the bank of questions is sufficiently expanded. The examination body has also agreed to work with the Society to seek ways that will make it easier and less costly for amateur radio clubs to become RAE test centres. And, responding to a proposal from the Society, C&G is now considering making the RAE available on demand. A new RAE paper could be available every month, instead of the current two examination dates a year.
