DOWN TO EARTH

The item entitled 'A Teacher's Tale' in September's column reported that Hoddesdon Radio Club ran a Special Event station at Lyndhurst Middle School in aid of Children in Need. It was also stated, incorrectly, that the station was organised by David Seddon, G4VCO, with help from club members. David has pointed out that he did not organise the event; full credit should have gone to the members of the Hoddesdon club. Belatedly, I am glad to put the facts straight and apologise to those who gave their time and effort to show the youngsters amateur radio in action.
