The arfon 2m repeater, GB3AR, is installed at the Nebo television station, 1000ft up on the foothills of Snowdonia. From here it looks out over the Irish Sea and serves amateurs in an arc stretching from the island of Anglesey in the north, through part of the Lleyn Peninsula, and down the Cardigan Bay coast asfar south as Fishguard on the Pembroke Peninsula. It is also used by stations in the coastal region of Ireland around Dublin. To the east, though, Snowdonia rises to over 3000ft and severely limits its range, as do the 1800ft. peaks of The Rivals to the southwest.
