Laurence Sets up Ugandan Radio Network

Two months ago, the youth development charity Raleigh International contacted RSGB HQ with an urgent request. They needed a suitably-qualified communications officer to fly out to Uganda within three days. This sounded an almost impossible task, but -just three days later - Laurence Howell, GM4DMA, was on board a Boeing 747 en route to Entebbe! His task was to set up a communications network and train over 130 Raleigh International volunteers and staff in radio operation procedures.
