Acom 1010 HF linear amplifier

Acom is a Bulgarian company which has been developing and manufacturing linear amplifiers for the amateur market for some time now. They have deservedly acquired a reputation for making amplifiers of quality with conservatively rated designs and extensive use of fault protection features. Initially they supplied Alpha with their 91β model which proved to be a very popular and cost competitive amplifier. In 1999 Acorn launched the 2000A amplifier under their own brand name. This real top of the range amplifier boasted over 1.5kW output from an automatically tuned valve design. In 2001 Acorn launched the 1000 model, a 1kW amplifier manually tuned covering the HF and 6m bands. These amplifiers were both reviewed in the March 2001 issue of RadCom.
