St Kilda 2006

St Kilda is a remote group of islands in the North Atlantic. It is not a normal holiday destination, but it is perfect for a DXpedition. So Keith, G40DA, Robert, G1ZJP, Paul, G1GSN, and I, Howard Bradfield, GOVTL - all from The Five Bells Group - decided to launch a DXpedition to St Kilda. Some 18 years ago Keith undertook a successful DXpedition to the island group and operated 2m, 6m and 70cm. The plan was to repeat the exercise but with the addition of 4m. We started planning the DXpedition in 1999 but it took much longer than we expected to get permission from the various agencies.
