The plot thickens...

It's all very well simulating an antenna and believing the results, but what counts is how it performs in the real world. Peter Dodd investigates the correlation between EZNEC and reality with the help of PolarPlot and a homebrew VHF Quad. Last month I described methods of plotting the polar diagram of an antenna using a computer using a program called PolarPlot, by Bob Freeth, G4HFQ [1]. This month I will describe how I used PolarPlot to further investigate the properties of the well-known Quad antenna.
