GM4ISM reports on his 5.7GHz moon bounce (EME) contact with the 8N1 EME (Japan) Big Dish operation. One week before the 24 March operation Mark decided to 'throw' a 5.7GHz EME station together. The aim was to work 8N1 EME, and christen the transverter with a good first contact. As his main dish is positioned such that it never sees the moon sufficiently early after moon rise to have a common window with JA he had to put up an entirely separate antenna. This was the old 1.8m dish I previously used on 10GHz EME.
