Once again, it is time for our annual Spring/Summer VHF project. Over the last few years, I have had several requests for 4m projects. Until recently, my main excuse for the lack of projects for this band was the fact that, as an El, I was not licensed to operate on 4m. As ComReg (Irish telecommunications regulator) has recently announced that 4m is now generally available to all licensed experimenters in Ireland, that excuse has now expired. So this month's projects are a compact 4m beam and a 4m receive converter.
