You may recall that in August 2008 Antennas, I described the HF mobile activities of MOUOO who operates from a very good mobile QTH at Meon beach near Southampton, using his own version of the Cobweb antenna. During the winter months, he has been operating on the 7MHz band with considerable success. In an e-mail late January this year, he goes on to say "...you now how crazy I am about HF mobile, well I have been experimenting with a 1/4 wave vertical for 40m because 20m has been rather dead. I am very pleased with the results; I sit onrnone frequency and normally get a big pile up. This morning I was only out for about 2 hours and worked six VKs all with 5/9 reports plus lots Europeans."
