Now that you've looked at the title, don't just turn the page and before you start saying who on earth is she - let me introduce myself. I'm Gwen, G4JYL. That's the first shock over with, now to the second shock, I've been a member of the Society for almost 40 years since becoming a short wave listener not long after I met Colin, G3PSM, your president.rnElecting the president is a bit like the supermarket BOGOF, elect the president and get the Mrs free. I'm the one who treads (I was going to write 'dutifully' - no chance!) two paces behind at functions, rallies and anywhere else the bossman happens to turn up! Joking apart, I do enjoy meeting so many new people and I am more than happy to lend a hand selling you raffle tickets and books on behalf of the Society.
