Professor Onno J. Boxma has guided Queueing Systems as editor-in-chief for six years. During his time in office, 27 volumes (Nos. 46-62) have been published.rnIn 2004 Professor Boxma succeeded Professor R.F. Serfozo, who had himself succeeded the founder of the journal, Professor N.U. Prabhu. Professor Boxma built on the work of his predecessors, continuing to raise the profile of the journal so that it is now one of the leading journals in the applied probability community, publishing innovative and influential papers in queueing theory, stochastic networks, and related fields.
