摘要

The application of a Fabr-Perot etalon for the selection of axial modes of a laser resonator was studied. It was shown that in the case of resonators with a convex mirror one can use for this selection a Fabry- Perot etalon without tilting it to the resonator axis, which eliminates a number of restrictions associated with the resonator tilt. The mecha- nism of discrimination of modes and residual loss introduced by an eta- lon was theoretically analysed. Using an argon laser as an example, the mode selection without a tilt of a Fabry-Perot etalon was realised.
