A day to promote manufacturing and get companies and educational institutions to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders will take place Oct. 1. MFG Day-or Manufacturing Day-has been held annually on the first Friday in October since 2014 and includes events throughout the month. The initiative, organized by the Manufacturing Institute and the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, encourages "manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive."
