JUMPING AHEAD WITH SIX SIGMA

Among the changes to this year's salary report, we devoted a new section to gauging employee satisfaction as a function of an organization's culture of quality. One of the findings is that if an organization has implemented almost any known quality method, a greater percentage of its professionals will report being satisfied with their jobs and salaries than in an average organization. If the method is Six Sigma, the difference is more than four percentage points (see Table 1 of section 14).
