Is there a teacher who influenced you more than others? Why? Professor Richard Kleber at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He taught my first statistics class and advised me to consider graduate school in statistics. Finding this field has made all the difference for me. What did you consider your introduction to quality? I had an amazing opportunity the summer after my first year of graduate school. During the first week of an internship with the Process Management Institute in Minneapolis, I worked with the team supporting W. Edwards Deming's famous four-day seminar. That, and a strong applied statistics curriculum at Iowa State University, gave me a great start in quality.
