摘要

Organizations in eastern European countries, such as Poland, are increasingly adopting the principles of quality management as they transition further and further from command to market economies. The ease with which total quality management (TQM) can be adapted to the specifics of an organization makes it possible to implement its principles in all kinds of companies. TQM's emphasis on the needs of customers, either external or internal, is having a positive influence on Polish organizations because satisfied clients guarantee a large market ishare and advantageous financial results.
