HOSPITALS GETTING THE HANG OF IT SYSTEMS

Hospitals seem to be getting better at handling healthcare IT systems, but still face challenges implementing, adjusting and advancing these IT systems and tools, a healthcare advocacy group said. Hospitals across the country have been voluntarily tested by the Leapfrog Group for Patient Safety on their ability to use a web-based tool that simulates computerized provider order entry {CPOE) systems to catch common medication errors.
