In his thought-provoking article, ("All Over the Map," November 2011, pp. 24-29), Peter Merrill correctly points out the two-culture aspect of organizational innovation. As quality professionals, we've historically been focused on the second part of the culture (execution) and are only now waking up to the importance of the first part (idea generation).
