Automotive original equipment manufacturers and suppliers estimate they could save $3.5 billion if complexities and redundancies in quality management system (QMS) requirements were reduced, according to a new study. The white paper, conducted by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and Deloitte Consulting LLP, concluded that while the current state of quality is the best it's ever been, significant opportunities for improvement exist within QMSs.
