Nedumaran and Leon have described a simulation study designed to compare a two-stage procedure for binomial data to the binomial Q-chart given in earlier work by Quesenberry. The two-stage procedure is essentially an attempt to use the stages defined by Hiller for an X to binomial data. In this article, we discuss the validity of the results those authors report.
