Summarizing the quality of a set of manufactured features with complex geometric dimensioning and tolerancing call-outs, such as holes with size and perpendicularity requirements, is the focus of this article. Here, ac- ceptance regions defined by such call-outs are represented both graphically and algebraically and re shown, in many cases, to define an area or volume. The measurements generated form inspecting such manufactured features do not necessarily conform to the usual normality assumption. To accommodate this situation, a gemetricdistance variate is recommended and used in conjunction with Luceo's capability index to summarize process performance. An ex- ample illustrates the proposed methodology.
