Welding Process Optimization Through Experimental Design: An Experience

This article reports on a case of experimental design methodology applied to a factory that had no previous experience in this area, although some of its technicians had some information on the subject. The article focuses on the planning and design processes, describing the steps followed and how new knowledge was derived both from the experiments and their analysis and also, more importantly, form the planning process, and the steps taken to run and record the experiment.
