In the April 1999 issue of QST, then Product Review Editor Joe Bottiglieri, AA1GW, reviewed the original NCT Technologies ClearSpeech digital signal processing noise reduction system. Joe was generally pleased with the results he obtained from both mobile and fixed operations, noting that the DSP eliminated significant amounts of noise during operation from both venues. He also noted the ease of operation with just a single ON-OFF switch to deal with.
