For years, I used a combination of black electrical tape and rubber splicing tape as a homebrew strain relief for the feed line of my horizontal full-wave loop. The loop is tied off to five different trees and needs to be able to swing up and down during high winds as the trees sway back and forth. I decided to change out my balun and the outside portion of the feed line. I wanted a stronger strain relief for the feed line that would still allow movement with the wind. A simple piece of 1/2-inch ID rubber hose works perfectly to allow the feed line to move with the wind, and at the same time, it keeps the coax nice and solid at the post.
