Restructuring costs negatively affect SCA's business results

High restructuring costs in the business year 2005 have negatively affected results of Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA). Costs for the implementation of the SKr4.94bn (around ?532.02m) cost-cutting programme caused a drop in net profits in the last year to SKr454m (?48.89m). In 2004, net profits touched SKr5.19bn (?559.16m). Operating profits slumped from SKr7.67bn (?825.93m) in 2004 to SKr1.93bn (?207.64m) in the last business year. Sales, on the other hand, climbed from SKr89.97bn (?9.69bn) to SKr96.39bn (?10.38bn).
