Voith Paper delivers paper machine to South Korea

South Korean Moorim Paper Group has entrusted Voith Paper with the delivery of a new integrated production line for wood-free coated, machine-glazed and woodfree uncoated paper grades. The new paper machine will be located at the DongHae pulp mill in Ulsan/South Korea. Voith Paper announced that the new machine would mainly use the pulp produced at this site so that Moorim would become South Korea's first integrated pulp and paper mill. The DongHae PM 1, which has an installed ca-rnpacity of some 450,000 tpy, is designed to produce fine paper in a basis weight range of 75-150 g/m~2.rnAccording to Voith Paper, after the start-up of the new PM 1, which is scheduled for the spring of 2011, the Moorim Paper Group's overall production of fine paper will rise to more than 1 million tpy, which will make the company the biggest fine paper producer in South Korea. Moorim Paper Group already operates fine paper machines in Jinju (PM 1 to PM 3) and Daegu (PM 1 and PM 2).
