Germany: improvement in order intake in decor and kraft sack paper segments

A slightly better influx of orders is arousing hope in a number of sectors that a consistent improvement in the orders position could be on the way. The minor upswing, however, is being attributed above all to the meanwhile relatively advanced depletion in buyers' stock levels. In the case of decor paper manufacturers, for example, this stock depletion has led to another small increase in order volumes in recent weeks. A similar situation can be found in the kraft sack paper segment where low stocks have also prompted converters to place orders. The causes are not seen in economic trends as a rule.
