UPM Shotton to install a new sorting system

UPM is investing £17m in a new sorting system for recyclable material at its plant in Shotton/North Wales. The new system is to be installed by the beginning of next year. The Welsh government is assisting the project to the tune of £1.7m.rnApproximately 640,000 tpy of newspapers and magazines are currently processed in Shotton. 120,000 t of this volume is to be supplied by the new system.
