CMPC Celulosa S.A plans to upgrade the pulp drying and stock preparation unit at its Pacifico pulp mill and has entrusted Metso with the planning and execution. According to Metso, the measures are aimed to increase pulp purity and overall quality of the pulp. At the same time the upgrade is expected to reduce fibre loss and energy consumption at the mill. Commissioning of the new equipment is scheduled for the second quarter of 2011. Metso did not reveal the order volume.
