Cartiera Santa Lida to restart production

The insolvent Italian graphic paper manufacturer Cartiera Santa Lida Spa is to resume production at the end of August. The Italian company reported at the beginning of May that an agreement intended to ensure the resumption of business activity at the idled Germagnano facility has been signed with the Indian Saber Group. Saber Santa Lida Spa, a new company which has been founded for this purpose, has already taken over the business activities of Cartiera Santa Lida via a leasing contract for an initial term of twelve months and has secured a purchase option for the paper mill. The parties to the transaction disclosed no financial details about the deal.
