Demand for supermarket paper and board in Germany remains strong

Order intake for supermarket paper and board in the German recovered paper market has increased from its already brisk levels at the beginning of March. Industry experts said that collection volumes are not on the levels that are usual for this time of the year. In addition, especially in the east of Germany, orders are placed for extra volumes beyond normal contracts. In isolated cases, prices have reportedly been renegotiated in the current month, but the majority of EUWID respondents report unchanged prices compared with the beginning of the month.
