VDP reports strong recovery of the German paper industry

Thanks to an excellent quantity boom in 2010, the German paper industry has largely overcome the economic crisis. In the last year output and selling volume rose by more than 10% to 23.2 million t, explained the President of the German Pulp and Paper Association (VDP), Dr. Wolfgang Palm, on the occasion of the VDP's annual press briefing. As a result, the German paper sector already slightly surpassed the results attained in 2008, the year before the crisis set in.
