Paprec Recyclage acquires Sophed-Santiard

French recycling and waste management company Paprec Recyclage has taken over fellow French company Sophed-Santiard. Paprec said that the move was also motivated by plans to expand its network of 50 plants in France. The company did not disclose the value of the transaction. Sophed-Santiard specialises in transporting and recycling wastes which range from waste electronic and electrical equipment through hazardous industrial wastes to recovered paper and waste glass. The company handles 150,000 tpy and employs 63 persons. It last posted sales of€6.6m.
